The Dusky Goose 2011 Lillie's Vineyard Pinot noir once again exhibits how unique the clone Dijon 115 is when shown on it's own.  We farm all 12 acres planted exclusively to this particular clone, but only bring in a small block of fruit for ourselves to create just four barrels for this vineyard designate Pinot noir.  The first scent detected is fresh spring soil, followed by that of Oregon strawberries.  Upon introduction to the palate, we find roasted beets and a pop of brightness.  There is a juicy core, leading us to macerated strawberries, with a lovely texture in the finish.
