The Dusky Goose 2013 Dundee Hills Pinot noir is a classic example of the Dundee Hills region. In addition of our traditional marriage of the Estate Rambouillet Vineyard and the Thistle Vineyard we are introducing our Estate Lillie's Vineyard into the blend.
Dusky Goose 2013 Lillie’s Vineyard Pinot noir is our debut 2013 vintage release and we couldn’t be more pleased with this wine. This is one of our smallest productions with only 109 cases produced.
The Rambouillet Vineyard is our flagship, the vineyard that John and Linda Carter planted specifically for Dusky Goose. We chose the very best 10 barrells for this bottling and couldn't be more pleased with how it has evolved in the bottle. Only 249 cases produced.
The Dusky Goose 2014 Dundee Hills Pinot noir is our first foray into an all Estate cuvee. The Rambouillet Vineyard and the Lillie's Vineyard are contiguous to each other and are farmed and managed by John Carter. Dusky Goose 2014 Lillie's Vineyard Pinot noir is made from the best six barrels in the cellar from this vineyard. The entire twelve acres is planted to Dijon 115, a favorite of ours and our winemaker neighbors. As a result of the demand, we sell most of the fruit to our peers and keep our favorite block. The finished result is a favorite Dusky goose wine every year.
The 2014 Rambouillet Vineyard Pinot noir flavor profile has the quintessential Dundee Hills deep dark cherry core that we immediately find in the aromatics and it continues as the wine glides across the palate.
Dusky Goose 2015 Oregon Chardonnay comes from our Fennwood Vineyard located in the Yamhill Carlton AVA. We chose this Dijon 548 clone for its small clusters providing optimum ripening in the coolest of vintages. This is only the 3rd vintage of our Estate Chardonnay and continues to be a favorite in the Willamette Valley.
